Gina Castelli has been teaching and inspiring both adults and children for over 25 years. Her diverse experience includes serving as a certified Responsive Classroom Consultant, an Adjunct Professor at the University of Delaware, and the owner of multiple small businesses, one of which focuses on coaching and supporting educators to reimagine society’s approach to discipline.
Gina holds an undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from the University of Delaware and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Wilmington University. She specializes in Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) in both schools and homes, helping children thrive within clear, supportive boundaries. Her leadership background includes over nine years of founding and governing school board service, where she championed joyful and engaging learning experiences for every student and educator.
For the past several years, Gina has been teaching, consulting, and coaching staff in a Montessori school while completing her Montessori Certification for Lower Elementary. Highly skilled in designing and delivering professional learning, she has led training on topics such as the Common Core State Standards, co-teaching, trauma-informed classrooms, and instructional strategies, blending insights from Responsive Classroom, Montessori, and SEL approaches.
Educators across Delaware credit Gina’s training and coaching with improving their practice and increasing their success in the classroom. In addition to her hands-on work, Gina is an educational author, with publications on the Responsive Classroom website and Quick Coaching Guides sold worldwide.
